Biographic Summary

David Nana Ofori, Jr., A.A.S., B.Sc., MSc,  PhD. is hailed as a transformative leader for his pioneering work in healthcare and infrastructure, designed to uplift impoverished communities and the people who reside in them in the United States. These distinctions include the Physician of the Year award as published in The New York Times, Businessman of the Year, and several others from the United States Congress and New York State Senates for his outstanding service and community support.

Throughout his career, spanning two decades, he has served in multitudinous leadership roles in academia as an Associate professor in kinesiology and pathophysiology; and as a  corporate president, CEO, board chair and administrator.  From Managing Director of multi-specialty Physician Practices to Chief Administrator and Executive Director of non-profit organizations to private corporations, he has served on numerous Boards and  consistently makes decisions that have improved services, increased profits and add value to the companies of which he serves. Under his direction, these corporations continually realize significant cost savings, profitability, time savings, and the production of higher-quality services and products. He has been renowned for his corporate turn-around successes in medical centers, hospitals, rehabilitation centers and home care industries in the United States.

In one instance, Dr. Ofori was the Executive Director for a multi-specialty medical corporation. He created an out-patient rehabilitation service division consisting of Physical and Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists. As part of his innovative   interventions, he leased minibuses that were used for mobile medical services. These professionals were transported to public schools, hospitals, clinics, private homes, and nursing homes to deliver medical  restorative rehabilitation services to children and adults  with developmental disabilities,   people who had no immediate way of accessing specialized medical  services , and people  who are vulnerable and at risk of cardiovascular and neurological diseases.

In addition to helping disadvantaged, disabled citizens with social-economic disparities, Dr. Ofori helped generate over $1.5 million yearly net profit for the practice. Moreover, new, and old physician groups throughout the New York Metropolitan area have now adopted his business model. He is on record for his ability to turn struggling home healthcare care, medical practices, and hospitals businesses into profitable ventures. Dr. Ofori spent a decade in coaching and training managers, executive officers, rehabilitation therapists and created workforce development programs in communities in the New York Metropolitan region that have accorded him congressional recognition and awards.   Dr. Ofori has served as national security and strategy leadership counsel member for the United States Army War College. He was also the installed Moderator of the Presbytery of New York City, which is a made up of 97 churches and about 17,000 congregants. He later became the Chairman of the ecclesiastic General Cabinet. During his term, he worked with church leaders, commissioners, sessions and immigrant ministers on church leadership training, church administration, and provided them with the guidelines for church management.

Born in Kyebi, Ghana, Dr. Ofori immigrated to the United States in 1982 after residing in Canada. He left Ghana as a graduate studying Fine Arts at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. Ultimately, he matriculated at City University of New York, Columbia University in New York, Long Island University, and Bircham International University, USA where he pursued his academic studies.

 Dr. Ofori earned numerous  academic degrees – A.A.S., Physical Therapy; B.A., Fine Art; B.S., Biology with  Psychology minor;  M.Sc. Post-Graduate in Sports Medicine &  Clinical  Exercise Physiology; Postgraduate, Occupational Therapy (INC); and  PhD, Occupational /Industrial Health & Safety Engineering, at Bircham International University  ,USA.

Throughout his years of leadership and success, he has always remained passionate about the physical and economic health of his West African birthplace. It provided fuel for him to work relentlessly and amass a dynamic portfolio of corporate, medical, engineering, and entrepreneurial experience. It shaped his vision of how he could help his beloved country and people in the most meaningful of ways.

In February 2020, Dr. Ofori registered an executive consulting corporation CMORS Capital Investments Company Limited, with the parent corporation CMORS Group, LLC , based in the United States, and established its international headquarters in Accra, Ghana. As the company’s President and Managing Partner, he has created a consortium of experts providing consulting services in healthcare and hospital  management, strategic housing development, environmental safety,  and infrastructure development services for  both governmental and the private sector investment groups.

Under the aegis of CMORS, Inc., as formally submitted to the government through the Ministry of Health, is to collaborate with the government and the private sector, NGOs, and the public practitioners.  CMORS seeks to address some of the issues arising from the COVID -19 Pandemic.  CMORS also plans to assist with the assessment of vulnerable and at-risk residents by providing preventive health and wellness education to support the existing hospitals and healthcare facilities in the treatment of comorbid diseases in Ghana.
